  • Light -  needs filtered light, preferably near a southeast or west-facing window.

    Watering -  Allow the top of the soil to dry out between waterings, water the plants as soon as the soil feels dry a little below the surface. They do not respond well to overwatering.

    Potting - well-drained potting soil and in a pot with drainage holes.   Relatively slow grower, and prefers to be somewhat root-bound, so it should only require repotting every two or three years.

     

    Humidity - Brown leaf tips may be caused by one or more of the following: Dryness. If she is not getting enough water, or if the humidity is too low, the leaf tips willturn brown. ... Excess salts are taken up by the plant and deposited in the tips of the leaves, causing burning and browning.
